If you know of the stories of the God and Goddesses giving life and power to those who were given an unfair chance at life, or to give them a second chance, the story of Elvira is one of those tales. Unknown to where she originated, or where she had come from, or why she was sent to her home of the Skylands, Elvira was cared for by the King and Queen of Somarra until their deaths. The only thing anyone had known about her was she was found in the forest of Somarra, nude, afraid, and very much confused. She never spoke, though the royal family tried to get her to speak for years until she finally spoke, only out of pain from the wings on her back growing larger in relativity to her own height. The Elves of Somarra and of everyone in the Skylands was clueless to her existence until the King was murdered and Elvira had been the one to protect her foster mother, the queen, from her own execution, with her wings.

Countless times it was mentioned that the land of the sky was not ready to have the responsibility of such a powerful being in their hands, as they knew that with an angelic being put into their plane, it would lead to more problems than they could handle. And exactly that happened, Elvira's sister, whom she spent all her time with had been snatched right into the Outer Skies in front of her by a Harpy, who mocked and laughed at the flightless girl as he flew off with her sister into the darkened sky. With the emotions that Elvira was only now being exposed to after this incident, it lead to exactly the problems the Elven people had thought about when they were introduced to her. All the other siblings that Elvira had adopted, who were the leaders of the other six isles had begun to transpire against her, and it began a war of the masses. Everyone wanted to have the wings of this demigod for themselves, yet none of them knew the power she possessed and simply believed it was the wings of an angel they were stripping.

On a royal visit to Teroma'Kan to discuss the mass amounts of killings and snatchings from the Outer Skies beings, Elvira was vulnerable, and due to this it was rather easy for those against her to take advantage of this and easily get what they needed. Sent by her brother, who was the ruler of the isle, was a hitman, commanded to strip the then princess of her wings. He succeeded, due to the fact that she enjoyed exploring isles on her own. One thing her mother would always tell her whenever she returned back to the castle with bruises and a dirt covered face was that "curiosity killed the cat" and exactly that occurred. Feathers ripped from their root, nerves and tendons cut up, blood covering Elvira, her dress and all the earth around her as she was tortured and her wings were ruined. All that was left was the bloodied, and destroyed image of the gorgeous angelic being that the Elven people of Somarra looked up to. Once she had been found, she was nearly unconscious from the unbearable pain that she had to endure while her wings were stripped, but it wasn't just her wings that were stripped, her self-image, dignity, beauty and confidence were gone too.

Countless days of crying, unable to hold herself up, always doubting herself and her mother trying to give her some sort of comfort. The isle of Somarra were grieving with Elvira, as the power of the princess that was protecting all of the isle, was gone from the people as well, not just the princess herself. Not leaving her castle for months on end, let alone her own room for all of that time, Elvira was forgotten about until the death of her mother from a horrible illness that had come from a trip over to Tavran that those who could not handle the harsh air quality of the cave environment would contact rather easily. For the first time that she could remember, Elvira was alone with no one to help her or be there for her, swinging the now Queen into a full depressive episode. Life was difficult from here on out, but she swore with the powers she still had remaining, she would care for her kingdom and the isles, no matter who wanted her killed and whatever the Gods decided to throw at her.
