Born in Rio De Janeiro and raised by his father, Tamashii learned about the highs and lows of living within a favela community with his grandparents and father. He made many friends, always loved to help them and had a very close motherly bond with his Vavo, caring for her whenever his father was away on his music tours or doing his humanitarian acts. When Tama was around fourteen, he moved to America as the risk of being in Brazil was too much stress for his father to handle, or having to worry about his son getting into trouble that his grandmother would often allow him to get away with. Which landed them in America, where his mother had immigrated to and met his father. There he met his mother for the first time that he could remember since he lived in Rio since he was two, but the time with his mother was very short lived as he only got to spend time with her for about three months before her tragic death. Tamashii never really understood the job that his mother was in, let alone anything about her besides her heritage and the stories of love his father would tell him about them. He eventually sided with his father in believing that the death was closely related to her career. When he turned 18, he went straight to basic training, his father rather supportive over the whole thing, especially because of how much his father believed in giving back. He completed basic, went into the military and was put on many missions, one in particular saw him losing his whole squad to a bomb, this same bomb caused him to lose his arm and gain most of the scars littered across his body. He travelled for a couple days without his arm, patching himself up and with limited food and water to make it back to his camp. From then, he retired at 25, especially after the incident and settled at home.

With his Brazilian father and Japanese mother, Tamashii is nothing shy of having a mixed slice of culture and often had the quip of mixing all three of his languages together in a jumbled mess of speaking. He loves to do as his father does, giving back to community and those around the world, and after he returned to America from losing his arm and going through the extensive revival of physical therapy, he decided to join his father on his Doctors Without Borders missions to give back as well. As like any human being, even though he had been exposed to all these things for a large chunk of his life, he eventually developed PTSD, having recurring nightmares and night terrors. This PTSD also became the root beginning to his reliance on weed and cigarettes and thus, he began to smoke as a way to escape this growing negative thoughts. Another thing he grew to do was tattoos, and before long his arms, chest and back were filled with tattoos to express himself and create a more unique image for himself. One of his most notable tattoos would have to be one he got in honor of his mother and her heritage. On his right arm (the non prosthetic one), he has a full sleeve of a dragon that wraps around the entirety of his arm, torso and lower body, starting on the top of his hand and ending at his lower back just by his right hip.

Tamashii absolutely adores all things art, often taking those who he mingles with to museums, art galleries, music festivals (especially those that his father is DJing at) and film festivals. He often sits with his father in the living room and for hours on end create songs with him which have been featured on his album. Unlike his father, he hates the spotlight and even though he is such a talented individual, more times than not he will shy away from the camera and silently create content for people to enjoy. Online he goes by the persona of "Soul" which is a play on the meaning of his real name and has a few singles under this name. He is very open with his sexuality and his father is just as supportive as he is open, with Lucio sometimes mentioning his son in press to give him a small taste of the spotlight, unknowingly making his son cringe.
